James Warren, Founder, Share More Stories and Senior Director of Brand Strategy, JMI
For over 20 years, James has used his unique blend of creative writing, marketing, startup and corporate innovation experience to help brands form lasting connections with their consumers and communities.
After attending Princeton University, James studied creative writing at Columbia University before starting his career at Altria Group. At Altria, James led various CPG brand management and business development efforts, including launching new brand platforms and new products. In 2005, he started exploring the space between publishing and technology with the Digital Book Project, an experiment in online novel writing. In 2014, James launched Share More Stories and the company later became part of the Johnson Marketing (JMI) family of companies.
Now JMI + Share More Stories help brands learn from and connect with their consumers in unique and powerful ways. As a member of the IBM Global Entrepreneur Program, James and his team combine storytelling, experiential expertise, artificial intelligence and cognitive technologies to provide consumer insights at scale, for some of the biggest companies and brands in the country.
Originally from New York City, James and his family now call Richmond, Virginia home.
