Annie is an enthusiastic American marketer living in Amsterdam. After studying evolutionary biology in college and entering the job market in 2009 in the height of the financial crisis, she found a home in the world of tech startups and resilient entrepreneurs and teams. Once she got a taste of consumer insights and product marketing, she was hooked. After the rollercoaster of a tech startup in Boston, she wound up at Philips in Amsterdam as a product marketer for the innovative OneBlade men’s shaving tool. Bringing the product concept all the way from idea to market and an extremely successful launch over five years solidified her passion for marketing and innovation. It also showed her she was ready to leave the corporate nest and make a go for it in the world of startups.
Today, as a team member at ScaleUpNation, Annie is focused on empowering scale-up companies that are triple-p focused — people, planet and profit — to grow fast and drive impact. On the weekends she’s an aspiring entrepreneur, cultivating a new home goods brand: Drom Home. All of the above made possible by the world’s most supportive husband and a somewhat supportive house cat.
