Responsible AI

Julia Armenat is an innovation strategist and founder of Leaplane, a consultancy that helps organizations scale AI initiatives faster and safer—reducing risk, ensuring compliance, and building user trust from day one. With nearly two decades of international experience across AWS, Philip Morris International, and global startup ecosystems, she specializes in bridging the gap between emerging technology and human-centered design.

At Amazon Web Services, Julia worked with high-growth startups to accelerate AI adoption and cloud innovation, helping founders align technical roadmaps with ethical, compliant, and trust-ready practices. Her work led to the creation of the Responsible AI Lean Loop (RAILL), a practical framework that embeds responsibility, inclusion, and risk visibility directly into the Lean Startup Learn–Build–Measure cycle. Today, she continues to expand the RAILL ecosystem through observability dashboards and training programs that turn Responsible AI principles into measurable business outcomes.

A German citizen originally from Russia, Julia is now based near Berlin. Her career began in New York at the intersection of technology, strategy, and education, and she remains deeply passionate about teaching, mentoring, and building inclusive innovation ecosystems. A builder of communities and cultures, she has organized events for 700 participants, led workshops for 250, and founded mentorship programs that create pathways for women in tech. Outside of work, she’s an Argentine tango dancer, snowboarder, and lifelong learner—driven by curiosity about how human creativity and technology evolve together.
