Dr. Torkel Tallqvist

Dr. Torkel Tallqvist is a senior executive, consultant, and academic with more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale project management, brand development, and business transformation across the consumer goods and industrial sectors. Early in his career at Hartwall and Coca-Cola, he revitalized major beverage brands, introduced innovative distribution and packaging concepts, and led the Coca-Cola HORECA business to double its revenue. At Hartwall, he oversaw Pepsi operations, implemented nationwide IT and ERP systems, and expanded market share from 15% to 40% by driving strategic product, operational, and customer experience improvements.
His later leadership roles include directing complex yacht development programs at Nautor, where he built one of the company’s fastest-growing business units, and serving as Investment Director at Hartwall Capital, where he led strategic wine industry growth initiatives in Ukraine and Crimea. Throughout his career, Torkel has been recognized for his ability to combine strategic clarity with transformative execution in high-stakes environments.
Today, Dr. Tallqvist serves as Professor of Practice at the Hanken School of Economics in Helsinki, where he has helped position entrepreneurship as a central academic theme and introduced Corporate Entrepreneurship into the institution’s innovation portfolio. He is the author of academic publications on the originators of innovation and transformational leadership, and holds a Doctoral Degree in Industrial Management from Åbo Akademi University, along with an MSc in Finance and Economics from the Swedish School of Economics in Helsinki.
