Can’t Travel To SF? Lean Startup Week Will Come To You

One of our goals with Lean Startup Week is to connect with our community around the world, regardless of whether they’re able to physically join us in San Francisco Oct. 31-Nov. 6. Time and time again, we’ve learned from our customer development calls that practitioners want to be connected with like-minded peers, to meet other community members who have similar challenges, and to learn from experts that have found a solution to their problems. To help our far-away friends accomplish this, we’re once again offering complimentary livestream access for groups of five or more located outside the Bay Area.

As event organizers ourselves, we know how challenging it can be to produce a live event with dozens (if not hundreds) of attendees, so we’re making it easy for you to join a meetup that’s already in the works. This year, we’re excited to partner with General Assembly, our official livestream meetup partner. They will be the exclusive livestream meetup host at their satellite locations across the world on Nov. 2, including NYC, Boston, Seattle, Melbourne, and Sydney. If you live in a city where there’s a GA campus, you’ll want to head over for some Lean schooling on day one of the main conference, 9a-6p local time. Look for registration details here (coming soon).

We also have more than 40 individual groups organized to watch the free livestream in a growing list of countries, including Kyiv, Ukraine, Karlsruhe, Germany, Dubai, UAE and Brno, Czech Republic, as well as locations in 19 US cities (special thanks to the commitment of our hardcore Lean Startup fans!). Interested in organizing a meetup at your HQ instead? You just need a space with a wired internet connection and at least five others in your group (that’s open to other Lean Startup community members as well), and we’ll set you up with access to the livestream. Apply here to get started.

The free livestream pass to Lean Startup Week offers access to all the main stage and big breakout sessions on Nov. 2 & 3, so you can learn about the long-term strategies for innovation that business leaders, governments, and organizations are implementing. You’ll learn Lean Startup lessons applicable to startups, enterprise companies, and everything in between from experts at GE, Google, General Assembly, Microsoft, and Basecamp, among many others. Plus, you’ll have access to:

• All keynote talks: Get inspired by our amazing lineup of speakers, including Caterina Rizzi, co-founder and CCO of Breather, who will talk about why gratitude is the secret sauce to creating a strong, vibrant culture and company; Jeff Gothelf, author of Lean UX and the upcoming Sense and Respond,who will share several methods for scaling Lean Startup techniques in large organizations; and Jake Knapp, design partner at GV (Google Ventures), who will teach attendees how the design sprint can give you a superpower: the ability to build and test nearly any idea in just 40 hours.
• Full Q&A participation: Submit your questions for all Q&A sessions online, where you’ll have an equal chance of getting your questions answered.

• Virtual networking with fellow livestreamers: Connect with livestream participants around the world via a moderated, dedicated chat session. Our livestream coordinator can also answer questions and help with any technical issues.
