In 2012, President Obama launched the Presidential Innovation Fellows, followed shortly by 18F and the US Digital Service. Over the past five years designers, technologists, and strategists answered the call to join this new digital coalition. They partnered closely with those already in government to transform institutions with age old traditions into lean machines, bucking the worn media narrative that the private sector would come in and ‚Äúsave government.”
